2015 is the Irish year of design and to celebrate this Bewley's Ireland asked me to join them on a really fun collaboration to design an limited edition coffee mug. Bewley's is one of Ireland’s most famous and iconic brands in operation for more than 170 years. They are a brand that has been thoroughly supportive of Irish artists. In 1927 Ernest Bewley opened their beautiful cafe on Dublin's Grafton Street. I have particular fond memories of this café as an art student, treating myself to a cup of delicious fresh coffee while mesmerised by the beauty and uniqueness of the Harry Clarke stained glass windows. These equisite oriental style windows became the starting point for my fun and playful illustration.
