'Different Day' is a TV and social media spot for DPD that aired around the world (19 countries to be exact.) The advertisement demonstrates the convenient flexibility of using the DPD app for deliveries, especially with the demands of modern family life! I was commissioned by Screen Scene and Sweet Media to create engaging character illustrations that would act as key visuals in two different family stories.
For the first DPD 'Different Day' TV spot, the key character was a Unicorn. Working with the director Bugsy Steel and the production teams, I illustrated a colourful mural artwork with the Unicorn character at its centre. My task was to illustrate the character in a number of key positions, as the Unicorn guides the DPD delivery protagonist to the new delivery destination. The digital artwork was added to the live action scene in post production and then brought to life by animator Damian Farrell.

The second DPD 'Different Day' TV spot focusses on a new baby event. For this story, I designed Mother and Baby elephant themed illustrations. These characters appear on a shop sign that came to life. The characters were also needed as pre-production graphics, and had to be printed in time before filming began.
